We must very quickly forget the disastrous period for the image and international credibility of Thailand damaged by the Abhisit's Government .
Mr.Abhisit is now a politician finished for the majority of Thai people and for the other members of the Asean community.
Today Thailand must rebuild its international credibility and especially regional credibility inside the community of Asean's countries. Because Thailand as former founding member of this community deserves this radiance and influence.

I've been here in Thailand since 2003, so have seen Thaksin, his sister and anything in between (unfortunately).
In my humble opinion Thailand was a happier and better off country when Thaksin was in charge.
And yes, Marina is absolutely right that the Abhisit government shamed Thailand in the eyes of the world, but they are not the only ones. The military, PAD and UDD had their fair share in it.
Having said that, the Abhisit government was the face of Thailand for the last 2 1/2 years and they did not do a good job, Preah Vihaer, 92 dead during UDD protests, and a Foreign Minister that as PAD leader was instrumental in the airport occupation, which didn't do any good for Thailands image.
This PAD FM then proclaims the Airport occupation was "one big party", proclaims he "hates foreigners", sides with ultranationalistic forces trying to use an armed conflict with Cambodia to destabilise the country, and oh yeah, openly calling the neighbouring PM a "Gangster".
All not very good trades for the FM who is ultimately the fact of the government to foreign relationships.
Is the Yingluck administration the answer to Thailands problems, I really don't know, for me too early to tell.
Must say though that I still have to see any hard evidence of your "back door".
