one kid in Bangkok got a total of 660 baht;
210 for stationary and the rest for uniform;

had to pay additional 427 baht for stationary and nearly 2000 baht for uniform :twisted: :twisted: :twisted:

EDIT
amount should be 660 baht instead of 620 baht

1) Back home in Issarn, my mother got 360bth for each kid to get their uniforms (Public school), books and stationery and the receipts is to be presented to school afterwards. Fair enough, no complaints there and infact it's a good package with what's it's worth.
2) Talking to a friend of mine today who sends her kids to private school in Bangkok, she gets 360th for the uniform and another 360bth for the stationary and text books....Now, why is that when the rural only gets 360bth for all thats involved? Coming back further to what my friend said, the uniform that her kids wear has to be bought from the school with the school badges on which cost more than 360bth and not from any discounted stores or malls that can match up to the given funds. As for the text books and stationary that cost way over 1,000bth, how they can come up with the 360bth ...?
Is Double standards being apply, does giving the free education package to the private schools make any sense at all, are the private schools are schools or private companies?
hi fos, could it perhaps be that bangkok is more expensive than isaan?
or could it perhaps be that bangkok pays out in full but isaan pays out only after paying the red shirts first?
in the democratic south poor people buy their school uniforms & books second hand for as low as 10 baht.
what do poor isaan people do after just 1 year? throw away the books & shirts??
do you know that in the 'free west' children rarely wear uniforms, they wear 'designer clothes' instead.
where just one pair of the latest 'in shoes' may cost as much as one years living in thailand?
and they are robbed & hurt for their expensive shoes & jackets....

:lol: :lol: :lol: Now you have proven Scy that you are the expert of ranting... What the he*k was that all about?

Here's what I found out about this FREE EDUCATION package:.........

1) Back home in Issarn, my mother got 360bth for each kid to get their uniforms (Public school), books and stationery and the receipts is to be presented to school afterwards. Fair enough, no complaints there and infact it's a good package with what's it's worth.

As for the text books and stationary that cost way over 1,000bth, how they can come up with the 360bth BS?

1. Is Double standards being apply,
2. does giving the free education package to the private schools make any sense at all,
3. are the private schools are schools or private companies?

1. Going off what your mother and your friend are telling you, it certainly seems like it.
2. Yes. It is something to do with equality that funding for education is shared evenly (per capita) to all schools.
3. Both, of course, just like the public ones.

If what your friend told you is true, that she received 720 thb for each kid when she was meant to receive 360, then would it not be a simple matter her of donating 360 thb for each of her over-funded children to a charity?

At the moment to suggest that anyone should relocate to Bangkok to seek better paid jobs and opportunities must be the joke of the year.
To say that schoolchildren in the west do not wear uniforms is a downright lie.
Free education in Thailand is more free for some than it is for others. There is more to education than uniforms and books. There is travel costs, food costs, I know children who frequently miss school because of this. Then there is the quality of schooling, but this is a topic in itself. ;)

Is it only private schools or do other schools in England also have uniform code?

School uniform is not State regulated as in some other countries, but all schools have their own uniform regulations. Where this might cause hardship for a family many schools run second hand shops, both for uniforms, sports clothes and text books.
In my district (Surrey), there are 297 state run schools, all require uniforms to be worn. I cannot speak for all of England :D

Hey Sul buddy, do you know about any good translation software? You know, one to translate BPF-English into more regular street English.
