Does any one know that the English word "sir", given the correct tone and harmonics in Thai means i.di.o.t? :o
Well, it is an education forum isn't it?

SJB -

:? Yeah, well, kinda... Posts way off topic, questioning others' intelligence, cultural references that could be deemed offensive, etc... I actually kind of agree with you that people didn't go hardcore - and I appreciate that, really - but lets keep it on topic and avoid the aforementioned nuiances that are unproductive.

But yes SJB, it wasn't that bad I suppose. It was just the amount of it (8 posts?) that suprised me.

Thank you for such a rapid response and reply.
It is sometimes very difficult to respond to other posters inputs without an element of "personal" feelings.
If we didn't care, we would not be here. (OK, some come to infuriate, or play "devils' advocate", never mind) Therefore an element of tollerance needs to be taken (as I think you already understand and agree with) otherwise we would just end up with two posts per topic.
For example.
1. "I think that...do you agree?"
2. Reply... "yes". End of topic, what's next?
I find this topic to be educational and nearly free, so that's good hey? (on topic or what?)
If I was military minded, I would also leave this site wide open for comment, that way I would learn something more perhaps?
What you don't know, you can't understand, and what you don't understand can be your undoing!

Well I suppose there is a difference in free education and education freed?
Remember that the only people that can prove they are sane are the ones released from the "madhouse", because they have a certificate to say so!

I agree that a free exchange of ideas, debate is the whole idea of a forum. I try to support that and appreciate your supportive thoughts. Certainly you will agree I contribute in a fashion that supports this ideal.

Go ahead, say anything you want, but do it in a professional, academic or diplomatic fashion. Certainly Amademajad or Chavez would love to walk around the UN table and give her a dry-smack to Clinton; or more basically call her names and curse at her, but that is just not how it works, they would lose credability, respect and risk being 'banned' in that forum's own format. People should consider the same here.

The internet is a dangerous place: giving people anonymity and leaving them unaccountable, resulting in the perfect gentlemen in day to day life, who will suddenly start to spout hatred and nonsense.

Hi BFM, have you not noticed that a certain virus has returned just before the week-end, and if not removed quickly will dirupt the website again? (look at "board index" new posts)

Comparisons can be deceptive and thinking is not allowed in some places!

Give me some time.

BFM,

It was noticed and very much appreciated. All over by the time I'd made my cup of tea!

Thanks!
