Volvo has announced it is canceling the Asian PGA Tournament because of Political unrest, etc. If Thailand can't even host a golf tournament.... I mean seriously, a golf tournament, what are you going to do. This is Golf, people. Tourists die on Phi Phi Island, ASEAN canceled again, Phuket Film festival canceled, Tanks on the streets, 150 Baht ATM charges, violent and non violent protests, Assassination attempts, Fugitives on the run inciting uprisings, a Thai woman bites Belgian tourist's organ (Nation headline news), Swine Flu cases.....
All I gotta say is, lets kick out the foreigners who are already here. It pretty much seems everything else has been ruined so why don't they get rid of us (ATM machines). As an ex-pat I'm a bit thoughtful and concerned. When is the Gov and Immigration going to swing around and start blaming us for no reason? When will the gov and the citizens born of this country turn on the foreigners living in Thailand. When is the almighty boot going to start kicking out Ex-pats, and other long term stayers for no reason besides, we pump good money into the economy. I got an idea, Let's make Visa's for everyone totally insane. Even more insane than it already is. No, No, No, even better, let's put some tanks on the streets again, burn some buses, maybe a few buildings and say the Ex-pats, and long term stayers are causing the unrest .
For real though,
When is Thailand going to turn on us foreigners who are already here?
It's bound to happen, so don't get too comfy everybody. A storm is on the way. If ya can't blameyourself, you gotta blame someone else.

The event of last resort seems to be the annual military coup, the last one had no effects on foreigners. The Thais certainly are making a mess of things, however it is something they will hopefully sort out in due course before too much damage is done.
