English sub-titles

Living in Thailand is an extremely rich experience. As an expat, now retired and living in Thailand I wish to know more about my adopted country. I am studying the language and I know all Thai wish me lots of luck. One big help would be having English subtitles for Thai programs, especially the news and cultural programs such as the weekly weekend program about Ayutthaya, my favorite historic and cultural place. Sub-titles under foreign programs such as channel 3 Korean documetaries and cultural programs would be great. Would really like sub-titles under Thai game shows, quiuz show and running serial dramas. WHAT DO YOU THINK? PLEASE COMMENT TO BANGKOK POST ALSO.

I agree with you. Subtitles would be a great way to learn Thai. I was disappointed when the TV at my hotel did not show any Thai channels, only English speaking channels. Even without subtitles I would learn what is entertainment and get an idea about what is important on the news. In fact I would like to get a Thai TV station here in America. We have Spanish subtitles on a number of shows (but not all of them).
