Child porn still on the streets

Child porn still on the streets

Apparently nothing’s been done about this since the story broke, even with the subsequent follow up stories. With police paid off by the vendors, nothing much will happen unless someone with higher authority than the police decides it’s time to act. Could be just another crime episode which gets swept under the carpet!

Like, the busted a huge booth with THREE vendor along with an enormous table full of empty sleeves one night.
I'm SURE that is more than enough effort at a dog and pony show for the foreign diplomats, no ?

news today suggests that child pornography is still rampart in bangkok and pattaya! according to news reports these dvds are sold openly along beach road and other parts of pattaya. disturbing and sickening news for tourism and the people of thailand itself. i dont think there is anything more degrading to a country and its people than child pornography!
it is suggested that the vendors are paying police to look the other way. if this is the case then these so called police officers should be named, shamed, brought to trial and if found guilty, jailed for life! they are not doing anything but degrading their position and the country as a whole.
i know of at least three or four families who will not visit thailand because of the threat to their children in the form of seeing child pornography being sold on the streets of the major cities in this wonderful country.
when the subject of visiting thailand is talked about among my friends, two things come to the forefront......... child pornography and corruption! two reasons that they will not even consider visiting here.
i think it is about time the government took these matters seriously and did something to combat both! true, corruption is rife on every level of society, down to the student who wants a place in a good school, right up to the upper echelons of police and parts of the government. what have we got to look forward to??
