I can't figure out why no one had bothered to provide a venue for people to donate money for the relief effort on-line.
Heck, even the rogue Prachatai OnLine has a PayPal 'donate here' button.

Why hasn't the Bangkok Post (or anyone else for that matter) set up a PayPal or Credit Card donation portal is beyond me.

The bank account numbers posted on-line has no routing information and is useless for anyone outside Thailand who might feel like doing an on-line transfer so, at best, they will have to go down to the bank to wire the money after they figured out what the correct bank ID code is. Are you kidding ?

The last time I went to the bank lobby was six years ago and I had to drive across town for that.
And then the bank charges $5 processing fee......

The only organization that accepts credit card donation on-line right now seems to be the Red Cross

but ONLY on the Thai language page as their English 'donate here' link is a blank page, still.
