Cheers Dave, she took care of me for two years when I had problems, no two people are the same, it's a shame some people get catagorised so quickly! ( incidently, my wife is now out of hospital and convalesing at home.)

It's a funny thing about middle aged men and their Thai girlfriends who are young enough to be their daughter. No wonder they become a laughing stock - to everyone that is except the family they left behind.

My husband met one such parasite when he was in Bangkok - after their first meeting, she sent an e-mail asking for "more money" - when I say "she" I mean her friend, as she could not speak, never mind write English.

But never mind, my husband of 35 years tells me she is different - of course she is - she is not typical, she worked in a bar, had a daughter and no husband - cliche or what???

She loves him, not for the fact that because of him she now lives in a posh apartment, does not work and her child is at private school, whilst back in his home country, I struggle financially, his children have totally lost respect and he is laughing stock amongst everyone who knew him

If I had not to sit with the knowledge, that I had worked all my life for "our future" and our children's future, to see it all go to some bar girl - sorry ex-bar girl, and her daughter, I could also laugh.

But of course, she loves him for his personality and himself, not his pocket

So it's OK for a 60 year old movie star to have a 20 year old bride, but tabboo for "normal" people. What did you do wrong for him to look elsewhere in the first place? (incidently, I am 53 and my wife is 41, hardly daughter age)

Tom...don't worry i'm in a much worse position than you are in...my Sin sod cost me 1.5mil baht...the wedding cost me 700k Baht, the wedding photos cost me 200k baht, her spending on my credit card for the year 2007 was 2mil baht...sometimes i wonder why i fall for this...but at the end of the day sometimes we are stuck in this situation and unless we make the bold decision to leave them ( for me it's difficult as i have a kid)....eversince i knew my wife i think i blew away at least 8mil baht in 3 years! do i regret it? yes....marrying a thai is never easy....i thought my wife was crazy so i went out and got 5 mia nois! and yes you guessed it...they're all the same! thankfully i still have some cash stashed away...while you can afford it, you stay married...if you can't you bail out....i hope i don't have to bail out as it'll mean i'm down to my last dollar!

You guys who think with your weener and not your brains only get what you deserve.Would you do the same back home in your native country and just give your money away without question.I can't understand how you can spent 8 million on her and only hope you don't run out of cash.I have a thai partner and soon to be wife and as I have to work for a living so should she if she wants to have the nicer things in life and she accepts this without question.As a falang I can't own land or own a business like I can back home so why should I buy it just to please her indoors.I have cash saved back home and I also have cash here in the bank and if I want to I will buy us things that we need or go on a nice holiday to the coast if we want too.I am never amazed by the amount of stupid people there are in this world and I believe most are located in Thailand with there wifes or girlfriends who are treating them like one long time trick that just ends when the cash runs out.

Ive met FEW thais in rural areas even to have one million bth
as far as that ,,few of my family will ever see saving 1 million bth as they slave labor in Bangkok

My wife is here in Usa with me and actually makes more money than I do .We do not send our life long earning back to Thailand . My wallet is locked!
Express you married her not the whole family and the familys Ox.Explain of your limits and if not stoped at this minute your will be totaly Broke Your self.
But if your that STUpID keep giving and join a Thai circus to earn enough funds to get back home.

Plz dont misunderstand me we do help our family and contribute to others but with in reason and on agreed terms which we both contribute too and plan.
We help in many different ways and many dont include our funding , if she is one of true love I suggest you explain and if she dont understand your limited wealth then my friend I strongley suggest you check out the so so many other good Thai working women that are looking for friendship and or true love other than a funding agent .Cut your loses now if needed.
