I've been living here for more than 20 years, and I hate to say this but Thais are very racist against Indians. If you do not have a high education and at least well off or from a decent family, you will feel the discrimination when you search for a job. I know this because I worked at offices in Bangkok and I often hear co-workers make rude remarks about Indians.

It will be hard to find a job if you do not have at least a college education. Without a college education you are looking at salaries ranging from $300-400 per month in bangkok. If you do not have a college education, they are most likely not going to help you with a work visa as well. If you have a college education and depending on your position I say anywhere from $400-1000. $1000 up you better have some good qualifications and work experiences.

I have seen many foreigners such as recent college graduates from a foreign countries (they lived here as a kid, went for college and now are back wanting to work in bangkok), their average salary stands around $1500/month.

Since you said you have a lot of experience in marketing, you should be able to land a job with at least $1000/month very least. Being able to speak Thai is not a big problem as there are a lot of foreign companies who need fluent english speakers with experience. If you have a very good job background / experience you should be able to land jobs with at least $2000/month depending on position.

There are a lot of factors to consider, but most importantly is getting a job and an employer who is willing to offer you a work visa. If you seek out Indian companies, you may have a better chance of getting hired.

Winston, you should be able to get a job as an English teacher. First you'll need to go to kao san road in Bangkok to pick up a degree certificate and teaching certificate. Then use your marketing skills to land a good job. Start with the poorer schools that can't afford to hire native English speakers. Good luck.
