Wear a Tee-Shirt: No Sweat.

Wear a Tee-Shirt: No Sweat.

The tropical humidity can take some adjustment on first arriving in Thailand from colder
temperate climates; IMHO around a season or three months to adjust from one climate
to another, and it takes about as long to adjust to temperate winters after living in tropical
climes for an extended period too.

To avoid the unsightly event of perspiration soaking through your good shirts, (around the
armpits most likely) it is a good idea to drop down to your local Tesco Lotus etc. and pick
up a week's supply of plain white tee-shirts, simple as that.

Always wear a tee-shirt underneath your business shirt, and then no matter how hot the day
might be, you will be less likely to have perspiration soak through your good shirts for all
the world to see and judge you by. ;)

Good advice Sean, I notice all the police wear a tee-shirt under their uniform shirts for that very reason.

Do not drink alcohol during day-time walk about! Lemon tea or orange juice is better! Save the alcohol for the evenings! (If you have to drink it) :ugeek:
If you are going to visit some Sacred places, you must wear long sleeved shirts and long trousers. Take a small bag of said clothes with you or you could end up with a wasted journey! :|

It's alright mate.

This was a very old redundant thread and you've added the litmus test with the air-conditioning factor, with which I hadn't considered. May as well run with the new thread.

make sure all clothes where possible are 100% cotton and not these synthetic monstrosities which will heat you up even more.
