Renewal / extension of non-imm visa B

Renewal / extension of non-imm visa B

Postby Filip on Sat Aug 01, 2009 2:44 pm

I am staying here with a 90-day non-imm visa B. Is there a possibility to extend / renew this type of visa?

I know visa runs are handy for people with tourist visa and I wonder if something similar is available for business visa.

Thanks in advance,
Filip

If you are not working, then probably no chance at all other than the two-week extension. If you are working and the visa is legit, your employer should take care of it.

If you are working with a company and have your work permit, you should be able to get an extention on your visa without having to leave the country.
also, again depending who you are working for and the type of company they are, you may get a stamp that enables you to work for a year which also enables the work permit to be extended for a year at the same time.
I have worked for my company for three years now and never had to leave Thailand. It also means you don't lose a whole page of your passport for the visa. (three stamp extensions fit on one page)
