I have a Non Immigrant O Visa, Multiple Entry, as I far as I know I have to leave Thailand every 90 days, on the return I will be permitted to stay another 90 days. Someone told me, I don´t have to leave Thailand, just report to the nearest Immigration Office, like the people on a Retirement Visa or Marriage Visa.
Is this true?

Do not listen to people who do not know what they are talking about!
If your Visa is the one you described, you will have to leave Thailand every 90 days.
Mind you, you can apply for retirement visa if you are fifty years old or more. In that case you will have to prove sufficiant income and/or sufficiant money on a Thai bank-account.
