one of my favourite places is OLD GERMAN BEERHOUSE in Suk Soi 11 opposite Grand President Hotel.
food is great - as cooks are Thai they have very good Thai food as well - pork knuckles and chicken grilled and Fri a whole pork on the spit. Prices are very reasonable - even for German beer - but they do have Heineken as well as Lao Beer.
Amazing place is also GULLIVER'S in Suk Soi 5, good also for pick ups, lots of freelancers, is opposite 'Soi Africa'
Also good are Robin Hood and The Dubliner (both BTS Prompong) and O'Reilly's on Silom, BTS Sala Daeng is a classic.

The Robin Hood (Suk 31/1). Nice cold pint of cider on a hot day, good food, friendly atmosphere and near the skytrain, also, the Bull's head, just a short stroll from the Robin Hood, great food, you have to try the steak!!! My missus loves it. The staff are really friendly aswell, making a big fuss of my kids. Good pubs, good atmosphere's.

The pubs are located on Soi 33/1 not Soi 31/1!
