I used to live in Bangkok for over 3 years and enjoyed every minute of my time exploring the various food haunts at hotels, restaurants and roadside food stalls all over Thailand. However, one word of caution though. As a foreigner, our body immunity is not as high as the locals.....so do avoid those food vendors whose hygience is suspect eg. no fresh supply of water to wash plates etc.., food stalls next to construction sites, rubbish dumps. Rule of thumb for me is to eat where many of the local Thai people eat. Do be adventurious and you will enjoy every bit of your food hunt. Happy hunting !
I avoid those that wash the dishes in the street gutter.
Yea i know how it feels
