Cable TV Monopoly

Does any one else ever wonder why UBC has such a tight control over the cable TV access in this country? We live in a city with over 10 million, a country with about 80,000,000. So why is it that I have no choice but UBC as a company delivered service in Bangkok? Or am I just unaware of the alternatives?

Good question Puzzled.

Here we are in 2011 and still we have no alternative other than TrueVision (formally known as UBC). I think over the years they have lost their credibility and have gone down in their value for money programs as Fox has all the good shows on, IMO. I much rather prefer downloading programs and movies online and watch them on my TV when I want to.
