i turn off flash, even turn off image, i am on fiber internet which base on speedtest.net i got 90.32 Mbps - download / 64.74Mbps - upload. my connection is definitely one of the fastest in the world, every site loaded almost as soon as i click the link. but! only this site, bangkokpost.com load so slowwww. it took me sometime as long as a minute to load a page. what wrong with it?
With the latest Thai /Cambodia border conflict occurring, many more visitors than normal are visiting the site causing it to be slower than usual.

You didn't quite say what city you are in or indicated which server you ran the speedtest.net on which makes the question kinda hard to answer but, having spent one of my past lives as a phone monkey, typically an issue with such complaints usually rooted in a loose nut between kbd and chair.
In all seriousness, you get only 90.3Mb down on FO network ? We get over 100Mb on coax in Houston, Texas, USA.
BUT that's only the speed between your computer and a particular ISP hub and not the rest of the world.
Try one of these for a real world test for long distance and international connection -

Having said that, the slowness may not have anything to do with BKK Post server at all.
Just because you turned off images doesn't mean that the call to off-site elements won't be made or that your browser won't sit there and wait for those sites until it timed out.
The solution on that is to disable the particular element by disabling calls to the particular site/domain.
There's a a pile of page elements on BKK Post webpage that are linked out to some other sites elsewhere and they can be absurdly slow like
hoteltravel.com
truehits.net*
hits.truehits.in.th*
jobjob.co.th
tmd.go.th*
sbc.co.th*
settrade.com*
ads.12buzz.com
gurubangkok.com
9filmfest.com
*known to be slower than dead snails on a bad day and worse when it rains !
OTOH, BKK Post server might really have been experiencing a bad day like modsquad said but I didn't notice any speed issue with it this week.

I find that Thai-based or Thai-related sites to be commonly slow.
Always are, for whatever reason.
