How to check?
How to check?
Sometimes has passed and he is trying to put his life back together. As a close friend I am trying to help in whatever way I can, but since I do not live in Thailand my possibilities are rather limited. While the immediate danger of getting killed (if the people who threatened him were serious) are not an issue anymore, there is a possibility that there is or might be an arrest warrant on him at some stage.
The general question is how to check if the Thai authorities are looking for him or not? How to check if an arrest warrant has been issued if so - for what exactly? In general who should we contact to find out about his status? It's hard to decide what to do without knowing where we are first.
Any Thai speaking good soul on the forum who could help somehow? We've read somewhere that in some countries you just call the Department of Justice and ask. Not sure if it works in Thailand that way though. The lawyer we approached needs 3 weeks for that and 50,000 THB. It's sound kind of weird if it's really a matter of one phone call. Please advise and if you are willing to help let me know so we can continue the discussion via e-mail or something.
