Phuket 'Pertinent' News.
Phuket 'Pertinent' News.
I have been residing in Phuket, six months of the year, for eight years now. I am an avid reader of the Bangkok Post which is, in my opinion, one of the best newspaper I got to read everyday so far.
I can not say the same about Phuket's English language news wires. 60% of their daily headlines concerns 'drugs', 'drawnings', assaults on 'poor farangs' by 'dangerous' Thais, Patong's endless 'Tuktuk' and 'Jet Skis rentals' stories. No later than last friday, a false alarming 'Rape Alert' was published and wired to the world through internet. Funny enough, that false information was denied by an article published this morning in the Bangkok Post: http://www.bangkokpost.com/news/world/2 ... ape-report.
For these reasons and because I love Phuket and that I am very greatful to be able to live in this beautiful country, I decided to create a facebook page: 'Phuket Times': "Pertinent News and Photography from beautiful Phuket.
Thank you for reading and have a great sunday,
Sincerely,
Nico

It can't be a slow news day everyday over there, can it?

To find anything in Facebook, one just types in the name in the 'search' box at the top of the Facebook page. No need to bother with URL

Or perhaps, Khun Nico requires a firm removal of his heavily rose-tinted eye wear and explore the possibility of the numerous alternatives for Thailand info/news that are clearly available.
