Sansiri Condos HEALTH CONCERN

Postby Winston Smith on Thu Jul 19, 2007 10:06 am

Buyers and residents of Sansiri condos beware -- despite having a very helpful staff and good amenities, Sansiri/Plus properties **do not** have a non-smoking policies in place in public areas within their buildings. Rarely do I come home to find my home "smoke-free" since my neighbors smoke incessantly in the hallways and in their own units. This deadly smoke even seeps into my own bedroom. The units (even though they are relatively big), are close together and many residents are permitted to smoke in indoor areas in and around the building.

If you have children or are afraid of the effects of second-hand smoke --- or if you want privacy---, be warned. together.

winston,

Just as friendly suggestion. Condos usually have owner community meetings. The intervals depend when the community sets the dates.

I might suggest that you go to one of these meetings (if you own your room) and make the proposal and hope others agree enough to second your proposal and hold a vote on it.

However, I do suggest that you keep the proposal only to non-smoking in the hallways, lobbies. You very well might get good support. However, you might not get such a warm reception if you also try to push no smoking in their own rooms. Most would consider this a private matter.

good luck / sardines
