Dirty Chiang-Mai

Dirty Chiang-Mai

In front of Phra Sing Temple in Chiang-Mai, ( the oldest temple of the north), is now very dirty, especially at the corner of the intersection. There are vendors who sell food, drink, gift items, etc.,on the walkway; left very limited space for the tourists to walk around to view the temple. The street is full of trash and many waste items, just like the garbage disposal area. Officials should come out and see to it that it is a sightseeing spot not a dump site. Thank you.

Chiang-Mai is very dirty. Normally, Chiang-Mai is very clean but now people say that Chiang-Mai is dirty. This topic is very interesting. At the moment, the street is full of trash because vendors sell food, drink etc so, the street is dirty. I want to change from dirty to clean Chiang-Mai in Thailand. Because after that, tourists will increase visit Chiang-Mai more and more. This place should have more bins. Vendors and tourists should throw trash into bins. We should have a campaign for tourists to throw trash into bins. Can you help changing from dirty to clean Chiang-Mai?

Yes, and a campaign for the LOCALS to use bins. Thailand has a rubbish disposal problem which needs to be addressed by the local council and the children need rubbish disposal and recycling lessons in school.

Someone once told me that throwing trash into the street is a hangover from the days of banana leaves where one could throw away leaves which would be eaten or rot. Seen any plastic rotting lately?
