Tourist: Still safe to go BKK on 20 Mar to 23 Mar ?

I going to bkk on 20 Mar to 23 Mar.

Is it still safe to visit the shopping areas and cinema?

Main concern is whether will they close down the airport....

I have seen many tourists still shopping in Bangkok. Tourists have never been hurt and killed in the red shirts protest. Many of them come and join the protest.

UDD now sever ties with army specialist Khattiya Sawasdipol and Surachai Danwattananusorn..

they seems to be lost without objectives... and now they are protesting outside US embassy....

Still safe for tourist to go? Wonder how is the situation there in the city...

Do to past actions of police they have been de~armed ?
Maybe due to lack of responsibility or training or even honor for public safety over siding with Thaksin?

Seems BKK is of lacking police protection.

Just returned from BKK and it is a very nice place... I cheer together with the red force on Sat 20 Mar during my arrival. Everyone is friendly and life goes on
