I just read your message and I looked on google Earth to find out where the place you talk about was+and it is a litle bit near where I live in Chiang Rai+I can see it is+I think 2+300km from here.
I just think about what is your consirn about it.???
As one who responce your message says-take the chance and see who you meet-there is allways other farangs in the area-it is just about to find them-I did not find them-see them every day in the city, but only one,say hallo-and I think, that was strange and wonder about it.
Then I start look in here-in Bangkok Post and I see what people write about and wonder again-there was not very much happyness to find about life in Thailand-and finaly I see a message from a Thai lady about farangs and Thai lady's and the lady's reputation-and I respond to it-becourse I have just good to say about Thai people and my Thai wife-and finaly I yesterday saw alot of respons of all this in the post-alot of respons and only two bad once-that makes me happy to see that there is alot of people who live here there are happy about it-so lets show the Thai people, that we are happy to live here in Thailand.

We have been here now for almost 3 years, 4 years previously in Prachuab Khiri Khan, and much prefer to live in the north.
I do not like "tourist' locations and find that living in the north country is absolutely wonderful. The "Thai's are very helpful and friendly but always keep themselves to themselves and we are the same...........Great!!
We have a farm here and , after learning a lot about soil etc, we are enjoying being "Thai" farmers.
