Bangkok International Fashion Fair and Bangkok International Leather Fair 2013 (BIFF&BIL 2013) is geared to be the arena to showcase the skills and potential of ASEAN fashion, textile and leather industries with the best designs and styles from the region’s leading designers. The event, promising to be filled with exciting activities, will be held during March 13-17, 2013 at Challenger 1-2, IMPACT, Muang Thong Thani.
Mrs. Srirat Rastapana, Director-General of the Department of International Trade Promotion, Ministry of Commerce, the organizer of BIFF&BIL 2013 revealed, “The upcoming BIFF&BIL 2013 will be the most special ever. In addition to being the regional showcase of fashion and leather goods, the event will reveal a new face-lift as a showcase of fashion identity of ASEAN. Moreover, Designer Hall is highlighted in a separate zone, filled with a range of creative works of both Thai and ASEAN designers. We expect to attract more visitors both at home and overseas, focusing especially on key markets in fashion industry and value clients in Asia and the Middle East.”
BIFF&BIL 2013 is featured under the theme of “Rhythm of ASEAN” and represents the fashion identity and different lifestyle of people in ASEAN member countries. BIFF&BIL will be a rally for synergy of designers from Thailand, ASEAN countries, and other countries across the world in order to create a new phenomenon in fashion and leather business and consistent network of relating parties in Asia’s fashion industry in order to compete in the world arena.
Organized under the fair-in-fair concept, BIFF&BIL 2013 is catering to the needs of exhibitors and visitors alike. The Exhibition Zones include: 1.Textile 2.Garment 3.Leather Goods 4.Footwear 5.Fashion Accessories and 6.Designer, and Products include: 1.Brand Preference 2.OEM/ODM 3.Pick and Play 4.Material & Tannery 5.Clothing Accessories and 6.OTOP/Thai and Asian Exotic.
The Designer Hall area is exclusively allocated for the first time at BIFF&BIL 2013. It is the synergy of noted and young Thai designers as well as fashion designers from across the world especially from Asia and ASEAN to display their works, exhibit products and visit the fair. Moreover, important buyers, fashion showrooms and fashion press are also invited to witness the full potential of Thai and Asian fashion.
In addition to exhibition zones, the event will be filled with a number of exciting activities that show the capacity beyond boundary of all parties concerned in the industry. This event will be the Asia’s greatest platform to showcase the maximum capacity of Thai fashion and leather goods industry, especially when the buying power of target markets like Asia and the Middle East is increasing in recent years, thereby offering a promising opportunity for Thai products to compete in the world market.
Visitors will be attracted by the event’s special highlights, including Business Matching to enhance business network among Thai entrepreneurs and foreign visitors; Fashion Show to display the latest collections of Thailand’s leading brands and international brands alike; Trend Forum, a display of innovations and production technology for textile and leather industry as well as a fashion trend update from around the world; Japan Connect, an activity in collaboration with Japan to exchange knowledge and technology of fashion and textile techniques to prepare Thai entrepreneurs to better respond to global demands; Designer’s Room, open space for Thai fashion designers to showcase their creativity and learn with experts about marketing plan, production process, exportation as well as trend speculation and other interesting techniques.
A list of exciting activities continue with Thai Tex Trend (T3), a special project under consultancy of Italian experts to promote Thai textile to international level; Fashion Network supported by the Department of International Trade Promotion encourages original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) to promote products under their own brand to the world market, especially in USA; Fashion Workshop, a workshop about direction of the industry, marketing strategies, production and export process and product development for entrepreneurs and a showcase of fascinating textile works; and Seminar which held to inspire the trade trends, marketing strategies, export and import processing in order to develop Thai designer abilities.
With a vigorous following since its inception 23 years ago, BIFF&BIL 2013 is now remarked as ASEAN’s foremost sourcing from downstream to upstream and networking the outstanding trade fair for manufacturers, international buyers, traders, importers, wholesalers and retailers, agents, designers, and distributors around the world to confer a distinct partnership domestic, ASEAN and international.
BIFF&BIL 2013 will be held in conjunction with Thailand International Furniture Fair 2013 (TIFF 2013) that will exhibit a myriad of premium furniture from Thai and international entrepreneurs and gather a host of architects, interior designers, and contractors.
Trade days are from March 13-15, 2013 and Public days are March 16-17, 2013 at Challenger 1-2, IMPACT Muang Thong Thani.
