Writer jailed for 'insulting' Thai royals
Re: Writer jailed for 'insulting' Thai \\ ////
Surely sometimes the mud has to be "moved a little", just to see what lies beneath it?
BTW, I am English and really do not know what the term "deep-sixed" means. If I don't know what it means (although I have my suspitions) there are probably others who also do not understand, KISS, remember?

Yep, "Ordnung muss sein!"
Laws must be obeyed!
Do not question their validity!
Do not think that logic, ethics or common sense has any bearing!

ACK! Second [public] warning of the day, you get three with me in a week and you get a real warning. But remember I am trying to be the nice guy.
The thread is controversial, yes, but limit your comments to actual events. People trying to be pundits, make predictions or expressing opinions - whether positive or negative - will be deep-sixed.
The ice - it is thin...

Surely a public warning should serve as an example to all, however only if the comment is visible. I cannot find what Pappy wrote to upset you, so assume you deleted it. So what was the point of the public warning?

This forum is getting more and more confusing. Not sure what Mr Nice Guy is trying to say here, deep-sixed?¿? Like in; throw overboard? or, get rid off? or, move? or, displace? or, propel? or, impel? or, discard? or, fling? or, toss? or, toss out? or, toss away? or, chuck out? or, cast aside? or, dispose? or, throw out? or, cast out? or, throw away? or, cast away? or, put away? or, to dispose of, discard, or get rid of: “The board of directors deep-sixed the proposal without even reading it.” This phrase is derived from the noun “deep six,” meaning burial at sea and referring to the depth of water necessary for such a burial. The term was later used as slang for a grave (customarily six feet underground) and, by extension, as a verb meaning “to kill.” or, or, or…
We are not supposed to express our opinions no more or what? I mean, if we are not supposed to express our opinions, what the heck are we doing in a forum then? I thought that a forum is a place were people meet to express their opinions? Of course, I may be wrong…

"Power to the people" (John Lennon. Album - Shaved fish)
Let us agree to disagree, at least we are comunicating. Without comunication, what are we left with?
