With all due respect, you're totally missing the point of this thread and why I started it. One of the PAD supporters kept insulting all foreigners, saying we should leave or be kicked out. If you go back and read my original posting, you will see that the purpose of this topic was to give him some idea of what would happen if that were to take place. So, as gentlemen, let's agree to stick to the topic of post and leave family out of it. Fair enough?

Hi JS, respect to your father and you, based on your previous post. We are all but pawns in a game that we think we can influence and control.
I believe in our inner soul, not jesus, mohamed, or anything like that. I respect what or who other people believe in, but that is not for me.
If we believe in "Darwinism", then we all came from Africa and as such, we are all decendants from an ancient family. Therefore we are all brothers and sisters.
If we believe in Adam and Eve, they were our our ancestors and we are still brothers and sisters!
As I see it, whichever way we look at it, we are all one family. Is it not time now that we accept that fact and start working together for the future? It is far easier to destroy something than to build something, surely by now we should be at a level where we can discuse our differences and use that knowledge to build a better future for everyone?

Even here in the US,one of the world's superpowers, we're not even outside the scope of foreign influneces, our governement has been borrwing money heavily to finance the wars and our economy in recent years from China and Japan and other foreign creditors. I dont know how some Thai people can think they can make progress without the help from foreigners. Look at Burma where they've been isolated from the outside world, how much progress have they made in decades since the Junta took power? How about Afganistan, prior to the US invasion, how much progress have they made under the Taliban rule with no foreign intervention?

You say you were in Vietnam in 1970 as a rigger. Then, by virtue of that experience, it makes us "brothers" in some way. I was in Vietnam from 1968 - 1971 with First Force Recon, stationed at Marble Mountain outside of Danang.

The important thing ALL of us in here have to remember is to try and respect one another. Yes, many of us have differing views on things, but only through intelligent conversation and exchange of ideas can we hope to find a solution. With the exception of a few "PAD Maniacs", I believe that most of us in here are wanting the same thing - what is best for this country we all love. Along the way some of us make comments that, in hindsight, we shouldn't have made, or react emotionally to a subject or topic before thinking it through. But we're all human, and that's going to happen. What's important is how we resolve that.

I am all for dialog with anyone, of any view, as long as it is done so intelligently, thoughtfully, and with some degree of respect for the others.

Can we all agree to this?

You don't have to do the kicking. Just have more of PAD style of demonstrations and they will go away with their business ventures, their love for the country etc (whatever the reasons they are here). No air, land and sea transports for them to come in anyway. Oh, make sure they can go out first. Oh problems, I cannot return home to visit my love ones and inspect biz activities. We Thai in foreign lands have to stop our business ventures. We cannot continue to bring in revenue for the Country and create business opportunity for Thailand. Never mind, my family still can do farming or fishing. Well, the pooyai and military will come and disturb.
