Heim, you can go to any branch of Global House and find solar water heaters, at last you get hot water for your shower without using an electric heater. Not seen any direct solar elecric cells yet though myself.

This forum looks like it's got some well informed individuals on it so I felt I needed to contribute.

I have just bought a house in Nakhorn Prathom; it is fairly big and it is on a rai of land which gives me reason to believe there are numerous possibilities for using solar energy. The house is also raised up with a four foot gap under it i.e. in the shade all of the time. Could anyone give me soem straight forward advice as to how best utilize solar power. Also i could do with some approximate prices.

I do not think that Solatron and other local companies have all the complete sets of solar equipment. This is due to inadequate and no wide usages of solar power in Thailand. I am so glad that you guys are talking about the renowable resurces. I congratulated you! But I think you guys should talk about it much more and louder, should call those stupid presidents of all universities in Thailand up, especially their Schools of Engineer, what are their clumsy researching on. If it were not renewable fuel then they are stupid. Have you heard that oil wells, pipe lines and refineries being blow up everyday. Soon will be no oil coming to Thailand.

Solatron is found by those used to be in the academic circle who became venture capitalists and innovators. Thai universities do not have reliable professors with PhD degrees/very few do have PhD in engineering. Thai engineering schools are not much different from technical/trade schools in the developed countries.

I am interested in energy cost savings for my chemical plant.
