just got scammed from the photo shop were i have been going to for 7 years. i dropped some photos in to get coppied. the guy speaks good english and said the photos would only come out 80% good. i said ok and thought we had a good freindship built up over the years. i have spent about 20,000 baht there. [i have just gone digital]. he asked if i had the negatives and i said no. i also dropped in another film to get developed. my wife just picked them up and he charged me 50 baht each for the coppied photos. she nearly died. i make every effort to not get ripped off and always ask the price first.what is wrong with thai people now days. i am a farang married to a thai for 7 years spend a lot of money here and have the worst exchange rate ever this year. and thailand wants to improve tourisim!!!!!!! i will see him tommorow. if you are thinking about visiting thailand. be prepared to be scammed .he said i should of asked the price first. but realy how much does a photo cost to coppy

Vientiane mai?

<the poster's solicitor has advised his client to indicate in words that his compentence in pasa Thai is at best anuban level, and that he couldn't understand more than a few words that he was told, although his solicitor made mentiuon to state that he probably asked for the resopnse he received, and that good legal counsel would advise any client to go and hang his head in shame for being such a big kwai.>

Personally, I reckon he's got no faith in me, but that was what he told me to say to this court.

It's after 19:00 Bkk time.

I can think lyrical again. The term called Blog by you is a colloquialism for web-log. If you continue to misuse that term on this forum, then please don't expect any decent readers to take you seriously. We naturally assume that you're just joking.

You can post as many photos as you like on your blog, but this is not your blog. This is the newspapers blog, which is to you and I the forum.

Sean,
Last time i was in Khon kaen i got my wife to buy me 8 Premier football league kits of various teams for an age group of between 4 and 7, she went alone and was charged 200baht each, which i thought was very reasonable, a few days later we both went back to the same shop and bought another 10, the price shot up to 300baht each, the wife asked why, the womans reply, Farang price, after we told her to stick them where the sun don't shine and started walking out, the price suddenly dropped to 150baht.

My village has learn't that farang price is lower than Thai price or I don't buy. But I never ask for credit, I buy in bulk and my custom is garanteed for years.
I am training them to think out of the box :!:

objection! yes, have a cam (even a good mobile has one). but DON'T print yourself. it's not worthwhile!
a cam has next to no additional cost, a printer needs photopaper & photoink, very expensive here!
btw: people who order without knowing the price first are self responsible.
only chance: refuse to pay! that will bring down the price considerably. (what should the photoshop do with your photos?)

Most photographic and electronic goods are cheaper in the UK, mainly due to a larger market (Population the same but Brits have more spending power). Slightly cheaper if you go to Malaysia or Hong Kong.
