Taksins Interview
Taksins Interview
When asked,
What do you want to tell your supporters now? (in regard to stopping the violence)
he refused to answer. He could have said to his "people" stop the violence, protest peasfully, but he refused.
When asked "do you want to be the new PM", he replied "only as a last resort"
Whe asked "have you been urging your supporters to protest" he replied "only peasefully"
Seems he cant even tell the truth, as we all have heard what eh has repeatedly said on his phone ins?
He couldnt answer any of the questions CNN put to him without falling over his own feet.
We know what he wants
PS, he even called on "he who cant be named" to step in and stop the violence.
Claimed there are numerous dead bodies, that the army have made dissappear!!!! how with all of the video being shot is that even possible!!!!!!
Guy is a joke. and now the REDS are fighting for a man who has moved all of his family gear out of their house (romour?), seems the family is having an extended vacation!

Did he answer the questions put to him as i have stated?
He can waffle on all he wants, but if he refuses to answer a straight question, what is the world to think?
I notice you didnt dipute the facts!

right...and he also said that he has commited no crimes and everything against him is political. That's Thaksin...a pillar of truth! But you have told us many times that you are not a Thaksin supporter. Has that changed?
Le sloth you claim to have been in the legal profession, please answer the following questions about the law.
1. what do you think about a married woman buying property, in her own name,, however, to buy this property she must have her husbands signature.
2. The passing of retrospective laws. In 1992, before Thaksins time, the supreme court ruled that the agency that sold the land to Mrs Thaksin was independent from government. After the coup a military installed court overturned this decision to get Thaksin.
3. Tax avoidance within the law of the day.
4. Being charged with corruption when the government set up a small numbers lottery so that illegal lotteries would cease to exist.
These are some things that I think Thaksin is not guilty of, however, there are probably other things he would be guilty of in a western court as would every other politician in Thailand.

Why are protesters willing to shake down the welfare of their own people by disrupting Songkran and businesses, not to mention endangering Thai citizens? Burning buses? Would getting what they want through this means even be worth it? How could good government possibly come from these means? I understand 'revolution' when there is oppression, no right to vote, the majority of the population in poverty, etc., but this is not my impression of Thai society. Am I wrong?
What is the motivation in people's hearts to follow someone who clearly (at least from a distance) is corrupt?
Well, I feel so sad and sorry. Men and women with real wisdom and a real heart for their own people must be involved in other occupations... not to be critical. Politics do not really seem to be about ordinary people any more no matter what country we would talk about, eh? Lots of lust for power and wealth.
I still care for Thailand no matter what goes on. I have. lots to learn

Re: Taksins Interview
The interview was a disaster (and btw, the interviewer was a "she" and not a "he" LB). It is incredible how many Thais "break down" when they have to "perform" in spoken English (but the Gov spokesman that followed was even worse).
If you go on CNN http://edition.cnn.com/video you can replay the Thaksin interview and also the Abby interview. Then you dont have to "guess" what both of them said.

What would you call a court system that refused the last governments demands to arrest the leaders of PAD. They let them go so "as to avoid violence" sic which itself was a political decision not a decision based on law.
What would you call a court system put in place by a military coup against the wishes of the elected government.
What would you call a courts system ran by core members of PAD?
What would you call a court system that changes laws willy nilly for political expedience?
I think the description "kangaroo court" is entirely apt

Please see these 2 more video clips of Thaksin via following links.
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/asia-pacific/7996781.stm
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5K6bGlnirgk
The first is his interview with BBC earlier today.
The second is his latest video-link to red-shirt gathering this evening.
Contrast of 2 video contents proves that he is a complete ///// from hell.
