Child abuse

Child abuse

Postby Mickyfin on Fri Feb 06, 2009 8:41 am

After Reading about a 52yr old Italian man caught having sex in the bushes with a 12yr old boy in nongprue last week,I was amazed to find out this child abuser has been arrested for 50 similer offences in recent times, the last time being in December of last year,he was caught having sex with a 13 yr old boy that time,I understood there to be a statutary rape charge if you was caught having sex with a child under 13 yrs old,it begs the question, why has this man been allowed to roam the streets continuing his abuse of children, why is he not locked up in jail,or deported back to Italy? It's people like this that can give foriegners a bad name and should be dealt with in the harshest of ways,it's time for a nationwide crackdown to curb this type of activity,I hope the courts deal with this man in the right way this time.

I believe statutary rape in Thailand is having sex with a child under 15 years old, not 13.

I may be wrong, but I think it's sex with a minor under 15,stat rape under 13,either way,why is or was he walking the streets,as the chap says,he must be paying the right people, can't think of another reason..

It happens everwhere,it's what's done about it when you find the people who are responsible for it,in my eyes, the people, whoever it is,that let this man,and people like him roam the streets should also be locked up,they are indirectly responsible for the abuse these children suffer, they are helping maintain a haven for the child abusers who prey on the most vulnerable.

Sadly, it is quite likely that the police just don't have the time or the recourses to prosecute these perverts.
In any event they may feel that going after one individual is a waste of time when there are so many of them out there.
It would also drive away that small but unwelcome minority of tourists that seem to be attracted to Thailand in the first place.
It would be a price worth paying, I feel.
Lock them all up or send them back where they came from, cancel their visas and blacklist them, for ever!

Just being observant, it seems the kids in my area are pretty good at abusing each other. The Internet talks about Paedophiles "grooming" kids. Many here seem ready groomed.
