"Yettaw will be officially deported on Sunday morning,'' Webb's office said in the statement.
"Senator Webb will bring him out of the country on a military aircraft that is returning to Bangkok on Sunday afternoon,'' it said.

Unbelievable. Of the two people involved in this 'comedy', the only one who should be in jail is free. It shames me that an effort was even made to get Yettaw's release and the real victim remains under house arrest for not shooting him when he landed on her doorstep. I certainly hope that a full investigation is made to determine what was really behind his idiotic act in the first place. ...and I hope we get to hear his reasons. No doubt the magazines and news rags are lining up to buy his story. I hope he chokes on it.

I guess the Junta intension is to disqualify Aung San Suu Kyi for next year election. They’ve found a reason with the help of that American and they’ve achieved that. So deport the American now it is better than put him behind bar after all they don’t need him anymore. Putting him behind bar the Junta need to waste 3 bowls of rice everyday.

Surprised and disappointed. The guy that caused so much pains and problems to Aung San Suu Kyi goes free and she has to be punished for the stupid thing he has done. This is not fair.

If Senator Webb could convince the Burmese Junta to release Aung San Suu Kyi then I will say he is great man and fair. The whole episode looks like a drama. It looks like it was planned before to provide Aung San Suu Kyi from next year election. Who know, maybe the guy was paid to swim to her house.
