election on 14th Nov, will it still happen?

Since, the hardcore red shirts leadership rejected the reconciliation plan and thus election on 14th Nov. Would it still go according to plan?

In my opinion, as long as the red shirts leaders are not pardoned, they won't stop and therefore they won't accept the plan.

While it may well be true that a majority of the red shirt demonstrators (and the 55 million truly poor Thai citizens for whom they are fighting) are far less educated than the British-born and Eton-educated good-looking prime minister, he is the one who shows the most horrendous stupidity and arrogance that is destroying Thai society.

Consider just the fact that this current government never really negotiated any settlement with the red shirt leadership but simply told them what the government is willing to do and now shut up and go home. Over and over one reads the opinion that the red shirts destroyed the conciliation plan with their audacious demands to have some say in the final form that such conciliation should take. What! you want to negotiate, you ignorant northerners? Well, we'll just have to kill all of you now for your presumption of equality. This ain't no democracy, you stupid natives!

And what is it exactly that the red shirt leaders had the audacity to request? (1) The deputy prime minister who was in charge of the previous crackdown on red shirts (killing and injuring dozens and dozens) should report to the police so that charges against him could be considered and a possible court trial scheduled and (2)please, please, allow the media to be free and permit the red shirt television channel to operate again. Not too unreasonable, most neutral observers would conclude. (If it is any comfort to the red-shirts, this government is an equal opportunity media oppressor, having already shot at least five reporter and photographers who tried to present the world some unbiased news of Thailand.)

Had this un-elected prime minister accepted those reasonable additions to his conciliation plan, all of the current bloodshed and civil pandemonium would have been avoided and Thailand would once again be a land of smiles.

Is it too late now?
Not really but just try to make those fascists running the Thai government now see that option. They may be educated but they're evil and must be removed from positions of power.

They did negotiate live on TV

therefore your statement is a ....FAIL

1.) Who did the killing is the question that should be asked
2.) I agreed with you on this point that PTV should not be censored, no matter how radical it is. However, I doubt they want to shoot reporters and get criticise for it. In this kind of situation, you won't know who actually shoots

Had this un-elected prime minister accepted those reasonable additions to his conciliation plan, all of the current bloodshed and civil pandemonium would have been avoided and Thailand would once again be a land of smiles.

he was elected by the parliamentary representatives just like any prime minister. Please read the constitution before making a rash statement.
