Thailand apology ad

Thailand apology ad

These type of public service announcements ( this one centred round the recent Bangkok violence with added syrupy soundtrack) are too pathetic. Remind me of films like Platoon, helicopter scene and melancholy loud music Adagio for Strings by Samuel Barber. Over dramatisation!

'Have we done something wrong?

Have we been too violent?

Have we listened to only one side?

Have we done our duty?

Have we cheated?

Have we thought of the public?

Have we taken advantage?

Have we degraded ourseleves?

If someone is to blame is, that someone is all of us!' Really?! This ad must have been made by some some first year marketing 101 team!!

I thought it is brilliant!

It is direct and reinstate the prevailing flaws of Thai society, which everybody fail to accept. It is simple, but that is because that is what we need a bold simple reflection of this crumbling society.
