In the United Kingdom they have no restriction on dual nationalities if you want to have two national holding two passports that isn’t a problem but if and when you have some problem while outside the Kingdom you must state clearly which nationality you belong to. You cannot use your dual nationalities status to get out of your own problem with the law or in emergency situation. I believe that back in late 70s begin of 1980 Thailand did allow Thai nation who has live outside the Kingdom to hold two nationalities which still allow today. When a person who will represent the country in competition or any form of representation they should hold a single national which they representing. No country can make claims unless the person themselves stated that claim. She may wants to represent Thailand in the winter Olympic but she cannot hold dual nationalities at the same time. I don’t think she wants to loose her British national doesn’t matter how much she love to represent Thailand. She look to loose more than she can gain from the wining. If she capable of getting there. So it isn’t unreasonable for Thailand government to request this from her.

Anthing possible after all he was born in Newcastle so he must have British Passport whether he gave that up is a big question mark! I am quite sure he still got the British passport because back 20 years ago Thai Government allow duel Nationality because they wanted people to return home after education or people who has business to come back to invest back into Thailand.

They still allow dual for Thais who live abroad, even for children born & living abroad who have at least one Thai parent.
Very 'free' attitude. It's for those moving to Thailand that the attitude gets switched. They cut off foreign dual citizenship.
This Vanessa would have to drop her dual, but did Abhisit? I somehow doubt it. 'Technically' he is Thai, but born, raised and educated in England; I'm surprised the opposition isn't all over this.

Yes she is half-Thai so she can represent Thailand. I just hope she could have the opportunity to do this for Thailand. Good luck to her, she is really good.
