Yes, the rationale for the law is difficult to understand.

Even more difficult to understand is why the law allows the purchase of a total of 10 liters or more at any time.

I find it very inconvenient as the local Makro is near our daughter's school on the other side of Korat and is not open when she goes in the morning.

Then, when we pick her up in the afternoon, it is during the 2-5 PM sales ban.

After we complained many times, a sales person explained the 10 liter exemption and that pretty well solved the problem!
