High Time the Vehicle Number Plates be in English & Thai
Re: High Time the Vehicle Number Plates be in English & Thai
First of, being able to learn a language has little to do with straight out Intelligence (IQ as you state it). My 2 kids have roughly the same IQ, one learns the lanuages (4 of them) very quickly, the other one doesn't
Second, explain me this, when you go into a bookstore you see all these beautiful magazines with English announcements on the front page. Once you open the magazine, not even 1 single English word. Why is that?
I do agree though that the OP is asking for something ridiculous. This is Thailand, they use these scriblings, so get used to it.

Could it be my reference to IQ is about the thought processes / conclusion that led the OP to make that demand?
I did not mean to infer someone has a low IQ if they do not learn the language of the country they live in so don't take it personally.
IMO, it is amazing how someone so bothered to see license plates with native language characters yet rather than learn them, concludes the country should revert to another language.
There are lots of things I don't necessarily agree with but license plates is a non issue (for me)

I suggest you read the whole discussion before jumping the gun and saying that I was demanding. It was a suggestion, good, bad, wrong or right, is one's opinion.
The issues you might have, could be a non issue to others; but that's their opinion.

Not amazing at all. But common. A great circle would wish for Asian countries to mirror their own - at every level.
Seems to me, if that's what they seek [a Western-Euro way of life], then they probably should take up residence in their beloved Farangland.
