BTS extends the Service Hours until 2 a.m. on New Year 2013

On the occasion of New Year Celebration, Mr. Surapong Laoha-Unya, Director and Chief Operating Officer of Bangkok Mass Transit System Public Company Limited (BTSC) announced that BTS SkyTrain will extend the operation hours from 24.00 p.m. on 31st December 2012 until 02.00 a.m. on 1st January 2013 to facilitate passengers who will celebrate the countdown party along BTS routes and other places nearby.
This year, there are many festive events along BTS SkyTrain route e.g. CentralWorld will organize the Journey of Happiness campaign to provide unique happy experiences and will be decorated with a 30-meter-tall Christmas tree, which is the highest Christmas tree in Southeast Asia. BTS walkway from Maneeya Center to Henri Dunant intersection has been decorated with a tunnel of colorful LED lights.
Moreover, the New Year Chant will be held at Sanam Luang ceremonial ground to pay a tribute to \\ ///// the ////// and also celebrate on Buddhajayanti 2600 years. Public can travel by BTS SkyTrain to join the event by taking off at Phayathai Station which near by the event and get on public transport with destinations of Sanam Luang.
Furthermore, BTSC will provide the One-Day Pass to facilitate passengers on this special occasion. The ticket price is 130 baht for unlimited trips in one day. Passengers are permitted for use during December 31st, 2012 from 06:00 a.m. until 02:00 a.m. on January 1st, 2013.
