Why no toilets in MRT stations?

Postby Mike Chan on Sun May 08, 2005 7:33 am

Last week in Bkk, I was at the Chatuchak MRT station and my bladder was bursting. No toilet available within 1 km radius. What to do?I was forced to do a Superman and released my bladder-full inside a desolate phone-booth whilst pretending to talk on the phone!Apologise to the next user and the cleaner. But I had no choice!!!

How much did they spent to build the mrt system?
Iam very very disappoint to see all those money go to waste. Or, may be it is just a bad biz service. At any case, with the argument for protecting terrorist.... that is BS.

If i can, I would boycott the damn train. Or better yet, gather about 100 people and \\ //// on the station.
oh, i would even call the police to come arrest as all. And if 100 people don't seem to do the job. May be 500 people will. Hey, I pay for the service, now get the bathroom to serve me.

Why on earth you expect toilet availability at the train stations?
Go to nearby shops and pay up for your releases, if the shop owner asks for money. In most cases, you just buy something from them and they will be more than happy to let you in. Don't dirty public assets by peeing on them. And don't make any excuses like that, it just doesn't make any sense.

how long you will be in the train? not over 1 hour, right? you should go to the toilet in somewhere else/ as your house, the departmentstore, your office before you leave.... so, it has no sense to bulid the toilet in MRT

Toilets in Bkk mrt/skytrain stations

As I said in my first post last year, there were no toilet in sight as far as the eyes could see and my bladder was at a painful bursting point! Fyi, there is a public toilet in every mrt station in S'pore,KL, London,New York etc etc.I dun know...maybe thais can hold their urine better than other people, but I remember I smelt urine even b4 I relieved myself in that desolate phone-booth...obviously other non-Thaidesperadoes are also doing the same!
