Hospitals in Hua Hin

Hospitals in Hua Hin

Postby G Powell on Wed Feb 22, 2006 7:08 pm

I am considering Hua Hin as a place to retire to in early 2007. I will be coming with my husband and elderly mother. I am a little concerned regarding the hospitals in Hua Hin as I have read a number of articles on various forums and to be quite honest they do not sound very good. We will of course be buying health insurance. Could anyone put my mind at ease regarding this or should I look for somewhere else to live?

G Powell feb 22nd..............from past personal experiance, i have found hospitals in Thailand as good as and better than many other countries. If you can pay then you have nothing to worry about and it will be cheaper than in your western country.

We are moving from the States to Hua Hin in a year or two. We bought a piece of property on a golf course.
A good hospital is one of the top things on my list.
I have heard that there are in the process of building one.
This is one unconfirmed report from one forum reader...:

The new hospital is being built on the grounds of the old Hua Hin Hospital which has moved to temporary quarters across the street. The hospital is being built for the ////// and the top floor is reserved for the Royal Family. The remaining floors will be open to the public and the doctors will be the best in the Kingdom. Doctors will spell each other off for a month at a time, coming from Siriraj, Chulalongkorn...all the best hospitals in Thailand will send doctors to Hua Hin. It will be a world-class medical facility.

There is a reasonably good hospital in Hua Hin. Also it is where (hua hin) the ////// lives. At the moment there is a new hospital being built with state of the art systems to care for the ////// in his declining years. I believe this alone should give you satisfaction that hospital and healthcare in Hua Hin will be excellent. There is no other person in thailand as revered or protected then the //////.

The future Thai government has plans to make Hua Hin into the retirement community, all types of tourism including healthcare outsourcing. The private hospital business sector is aware of the private healthcare needs in Hua Hin.
