Abby gambling again!!!

Abby gambling again!!!

Now the news is out, designating Phuket as the next attempt to arrange an ASEAN summit.

What is Abby thinking about????? Is he determined to kill the country and the tourist industry forever?

In Phuket you dont need a crowd like in Pattaya. All you need to do is to make a "Deep South" style bomb attack. Easy to blame on the insurgents in the South. Phuket had schools burned in 2004, and also had airport blockades.

Sure you can beef up security and then possibly avoid a new incident, but what are the costs??? June signals the beginning of the summer holidays in many countries and a high season in Thailand. I bet that tourist will be happy meeting a soldier on each street corner, and their vehicles/busses being stopped and searched in numerous check points!!!!

If this attempt fails, Thailand is gone for a VERY long time. If Abby was honest and realistic, he would admit that Thailand is the wrong place for such a summit at the moment, and ask for another ASEAN member to arrange it. He had succes in Hua Hin, but the reason for the peace there is easy to explain (if you consider who is spending most of his time there).

Abby, please wake up. You are not in Eton/Oxford anymore!!!!!!!

I find that it is not the prime minister or his cabinet that rules Thailand but opinion givers. Let the prime minister decide where he wants to hold the meeting which is a government matter. I think government and other relatead matters should be decided by those who are concerned about it. If the prime minister is going to pay heed to all what people say, there is no government, no authority, and untimately no work can never be carried out. I think this is where Dale Carnegie's words will fit correctly. " Any fool can criticize, condemn, and complain and most fools do"
