Who started the violence? The red shirts or MR. A???

Postby PH1234 on Mon Apr 26, 2010 10:20 pm

All day long I hear people complaining how the red shirts are terrorists, thugs, street rats, etc. I live near Kao Sarn Rd. All they did was talk on stage, listen to singers, eat, and complain that the government doesn't care about the poor. I felt sorry for them because it looked like they were wasting their time. The yellow shirts got sick of them and complained. Abhisit sent an order to ATTACK them. The red shirts were DEFENDING themselves.

The yellows shut down an airport, throw bombs WITHOUT being provoked, and that's perfectly fine.

As for the Silom attack, don't you think some yellows could have put on red shirts and thrown grenade to make the reds look bad?

Now it appears, it's the beginning of a war. OF COURSE, the red shirts are not going to the follow "rules" of the government. Their goal is to get a NEW government. You think they're doing this just for fun? What \\\ ///// would break rules like this and want to keep the current government? Of course the reds will try to prevent the soldier/police from getting close to their camp. It's better than engaging in war. In fact the police should thank the reds for doing this. They won't have the chance of getting killed in the battle. What are the reds supposed to do? Just sit there and let the military shoot at them? That's not a way to win.

As for you foreigners complaining that you can't make your holiday in Thailand? Let the two parties settle their issues. It's more important to them then your vacation.

If the military was never ordered to go near Pahn Fah bridge, no violence would have happened. That is my point.

But I wish to clarify. Are you saying that you believe the reds have done nothing wrong or violent at all?

The violence didn't start until .....AFTER..... the military was ordered to do a crackdown on the protest at Pahn Fah bridge. They were just defending themselves.

Nothern Thailand and Southern Thailand...that is a possibility. Actually it might even be Very Southern Thailand, Bangkok as a country, and Northern Thailand.

And here's a possible idea to fix everything... why couldn't Abhisit just try to treat the poor like Thaksin did? Look at all the support Thaksin got just by trying to help them. He should get on national Thai television and say something like, "Reds. I AM SORRY. I messed up, I know. PLEASE. Give me another chance. I'll be just as good to you as Thaksin was if not better. Give me a second chance. I BEG YOU! I'll write up some new plans BEFORE you leave your protest. If I don't follow it, I give you permission to protest again." Maybe bust out some tears as well. It's worth a shot.

I agree with you 100% --- but I would like Mr. A. to have a dignified, yet sombre demeanor, but a tear or two would be big crowd-pleaser.

Wake up people!

Its all about one disgruntled man's (NO I AM NOT REFERRING to Thaksin) work behind the scenes. (As it usually is, look at history)
Someone who currently controls or has access to the media.
Ex-Good Friend of Thaksin. Who praised Thaksin in good times (of course when it was for himself).
Someone at the top of the current party behind the current PM.
Someone who throws our false accusations and allegations and then fuels the fire.
Someone who needs this party to rule otherwise it would mean his demise in terms of bankruptcy which he has already experienced once and was forgiven his bad loans by a leading Thai bank.
Someone who is using the people's love of the Thai Monarchy as a verbal weapon to accuse others of plotting to overthrow the Monarchy (which is in of itself ludacris).

Do some research and think for yourself. Don't just react to the Media. Its all there in the Internet. History.
Look beyond false accusations, look for the real cause. Usually somewhere between money and power.

Ask for proof! Seek out truth.

Smoke and mirrors folks. History repeats itself.
Think for yourself folks! Be objective. Do some research.

Anyway, I really think it is now above and beyond Thaksin's control or influence.
The truth shall prevail as it always does in the end.

Unfortunately as history repeats itself, the innocent people who are swayed by emotion rather than facts, those who are lead and are afraid to think are the pawns and victims of one man's greed! Stop the insanity!

Although I am not Thai, being American, I must say that I love Thailand and the people of Thailand in general.
I have been in and out of Thailand quite frequently since the late 90's. I have seen Thailand grow in leaps and bounds yet the people and their culture still remains which is what I love about Thailand.

It is unfortunate and a tragedy that a few rotten apples always spoil the bunch.
It is also unfortunate that propaganda is usually the fuel that sets the fire ablaze.

I truly believe the truth will prevail as it always does, sometimes admittedly too late but it does prevail nonetheless.

I pray that Thailand will straighten out and fly right once again and these power-mongers settle their differences in a more private arena instead using innocent people as their pawns in their power struggle.
