OH YES, MARTINUS!! THE EXCHANGE RATE IN ' 96 WAS SOMETHING TO BEHOLD!!! WHEN I ARRIVED IN THAILAND IN '1985 THE BAHT-DOLLAR RATIO WAS 28-1, SO 1996 SAW THE EXCHANGE RATE ALMOST DOUBLE,

Thumbs up in Thailand means the same as anywhere else. (unless your in a car, and if you give the thumbs up in a car that means they can go first, the car your signaling that is) Ten other drivers may see that sign and thats where the problem starts!

The reduction in my level of sanity only matched by the increase in my girth! The rise and hopefully demise of Mr. T. The introduction of a wide choice of western food in supermarkets and now good bacon, pies, sausages and ham etc! Lastly, going from an employee to an employer! I'll drink to that!
