- Lecturer at Faculty of Political Science, Chulalongkorn University

- Director of the Institute of Security and International Studies

- Advisor to Chatchai Government (Ban Pitsanulok Team) from 1989-1990

- chief adviser to Bangkok Governor Bhichit Rattakul.

- co-founded the Nam Thai Party and served as deputy secretary-general in 1994

- Failed to be elected under the Nam Thai banner in 1995

- Voted one of a hundred leaders of the 21st century by Time magazine in 1995

- MP representing Bangkok Constituency 2 in November 17, 1996

- Deputy foreign minister under the Chuan Administration in October 1997

Policies

- Promote the well-being of Bangkokians by improving education, the environment, healthcare, safety for lives and property, and strengthening community and family ties

- Administer Bangkok through engagement and the involvement of all stakeholders, especially young people

- Transform Bangkok into one of the world's greatest cities and uplift the estimated 2,000 communities within the metropolitan area

- Rehabilitate Bangkok's Chao Phya River, bringing it back the good old days of the "Venice of the East"

- Tackle Bangkok coastal erosion
