Bangkok University was established 1962. The original campus is located in the central business district of Bangkok; however, the university expanded its operation to Rangsit campus in Pathum Thani province to accommodate its rapid growth.
The Rangsit campus is located approximately 14 kilometres north of Don Mueang Airport. It is the study place of regular students in their first and second years. It is also where can be found the Bangkok University Stadium, home stadium of Bangkok University FC, Thailand Premier League 2006 champions.
