His Majesty visits Golden Place

At 5:30 yesterday evening His Majesty the King left his 16th floor residence at Siriraj Hospital to make the short trip to the hospital's newly-opened private branch, Siriraj Piyamaharajkarun (SiPH.)

Upon arrival, His Majesty took a special interest in the ground floor branch of the Golden Place store which is located there. Golden Place, which is run under royal patronage by the Suwannachart company, sells affordable high-quality chemically-free produce, thus benefitting producers and consumers alike. At the present time there are eight branches, located in Bangkok and Hua Hin.

During his short visit, His Majesty, holding the leash of his favourite dog Khun Thong Daeng, inspected numerous products sold in the store.

The King then went to the seventh floor of the hospital, briefly visiting the Centre for Applied Thai Traditional Medicine (โรงเรียนอายุรเวทธำรง สถานการแพทย์แผนไทยประยุกต์) and he then looked out over the Chao Phraya River from the lobby there until about 6:40pm when he returned to his residence.
