Pig hunt in Samut Prakan.
People sometimes have strange ideas of what's OK and what isn't.
A businessman reportedly rented a deserted land plot in Phra Samut Chedi district, Samut Prakan early this year and, for good luck, he released a group of pigs he had raised.
Left alone, pigs will do what comes naturally and their numbers grew rapidly to more than 100.
This animal appears ready for a nap.
Not surprisingly, they became a big nuisance for residents of the surrounding area, often running amok.
Yesterday, livestock officials were called in to put an end to the pig party. Altogether 30 pigs were captured in the operation by using tranquilliser darts to sedate them.
One of the troublemakers is taken away. Destination: a monastery in Phetchabun.
The pigs were yesterday vaccinated against foot and mouth disease and moved to a monastery in Phetchabun.
