Scary Beyonce

When I was looking for photos of Beyonce for my story on her half-time performance at the Superbowl, I naturally looked for photos of the superstar looking at her best. There were many.

The show was a strenuous one, however, and I did notice a few photos where her face was contorted by the hard work she was putting in.

I ignored them, but other sites did not. This bothered Beyonce's publicist, a woman named Yvette, who wrote to the popular US website Buzzfeed to remove what she considered to be the seven "worst" photos from an extensive gallery published at the Buzzfeed site.

"I am certain that you will be able to find some better photos," she emailed the Buzzfeed webmaster.

This, of course, only increased media interest in the photos and they were reproduced around the world, including on our own Bangkok Post website and, today, in the learning section as well.

"Strictly in the interest of truth and honest reporting", our reporter wrote, the Bangkok Post presents the seven "worst" photos of a fierce Beyonce, starting with this interesting grimace by the star (at the top of the page).

"You do have to admit, as the "worst of Beyonce" show continues, that she (the publicist) did have a great eye in picking the horrible views of her employer. On the other hand, though, you have to worry about a publicist who thinks that in 2013 she can make photos disappear from the internet."
