Wonderful or awful? It’s up to you

Let's pretend. Suppose you are bored with your hair style and you go to a barber  or a hair stylist. You tell him/her that you want something completely different, but you are not sure what it should be. You tell the barber to design an innovative (new and original) hairstyle for you.

When you sit in the barber chair you suddenly feel very sleepy because you didn't get much sleep the night before. Soon, you are asleep. When you wake up, you have this new spiked (or spiky) hairstyle.

What do you think of it? Here are some things you might say when you first see yourself. Choose from the word lists below. Choose more than one.

If you like it:

wonderful – very good, pleasant or enjoyable ดีเยี่ยม
cool – really good, used to show that you really like something because it is fashionable, attractive and often different ดีเลิศ (คำสแลง)
adventurous  – willing to take risks and try new ideas; new and exciting ค่อนข้างเสี่ยง, ชอบเสี่ยงภัย
audacious – willing to take risks or to do something shocking  กล้าหาญ,  ชอบเสี่ยงภัย
fashionable – following a style that is popular ทันสมัย, เป็นที่นิยม, นำสมัย
trendy – very fashionable  ซึ่งเป็นที่นิยม
ingenious – very suitable for a particular purpose and resulting from clever new ideas ชาญฉลาด, หลักแหลม, เฉลียวฉลาด
outstanding – clearly very much better than what is usual ยอดเยี่ยม, ดีเด่น

ugly – unpleasant to look at  น่าเกลียด, ขี้เหร่, ไม่สวย
hideous – very ugly or unpleasant น่าเกลียดมาก, น่ากลัว,น่าตกใจ
atrocious – very bad in quality; very bad or unpleasant  อัปลักษณ์, น่าเกลียด
disgusting – extremely unpleasant or unacceptable น่ารังเกียจ
dreadful – extremely bad; very unpleasant น่าเกลียดน่ากลัว, เลวมาก
diabolical – extremely bad or annoying; morally bad and evil; like a devil เลวร้ายอย่างที่สุด, เหมือนภูตผีปีศาจ
satanic – connected with the worship of the Devil, morally bad and evil เกี่ยวกับซาตาน, เป็นลักษณะของซาตาน, ชั่วร้าย
