With a fifth album finally in production, and a Beyoncé tour about to start, it's time to generate some excitement. The singer did that yesterday by releasing a new song called "Bow Down / I Been on".

Bow down. Beyoncé is back

Beyoncé is never out of the news, but she has been out of the recording business since 2011 when she released her fourth album, appropriately entitled "Four".

Now, a fifth album is finally in production, and a Beyoncé tour is about to start, so it's time to generate some excitement. The singer did that yesterday by releasing a new song on her official website called "Bow Down / I Been on".

It is not clear if the song will be on the album, but it certainly will generate a lot of discussion.

It is not easy listening. It is a hard-hitting, some even say "raunchy" rap-influenced song, produced by Hit-Boy, known for his work with Kanye West and Beyonce's husband Jay-Z.

You only hear Beyonce in her normal, undistorted voice in the first minute, where she plays the role of a tough, dominant female. "Bow down, bitches," she commands.

And don't you dare think of her as just Jay-Z's wife: 

"I took some time to live my life, but don't think I'm just his little wife. Don't get it twisted, get it twisted, this my s--t, bow down bitches."

bow down – to move your head or the top half of your body forwards and downwards as a sign of respect; to allow somebody to tell you what to do ก้มกราบ

undistorted – not changed in a way that makes something strange or not clear ไม่บิดเบือน
play a role – to carry out a particular function or duty มีบทบาท
tough – strong and able to deal with difficult situations or pain แข็งแรง
dominant – more powerful or important than all others เหนือกว่า
bitch – a word for a woman that is often considered rude or insulting หญิงสำส่อน, หญิงเลว
command – to order someone to do something สั่ง
dare – to be brave enough to do something  กล้า
twisted – distorted บิดเบือน
