PHUKET: The body of Chinese tourist Yin Lei, 35, was found in the sea off Freedom beach on Tuesday morning. He had been missing since going swimming there on Sunday evening.
Phuket deputy governor Supote Rodruang na Nongkhai said a jet skier came across the body.
Yin arrived in a tour group of 15 last Saturday. He went swimming at the beach with seven friends on Sunday evening. He got into trouble in the strong surf and was swept away about 6pm.
Mr Supote advised tourists to follow lifeguards' warnings against swimming when the sea is rough.
