The most popular Youtube videos are now earning money for their producers – a lot of money. Let's take a look at two examples that you are sure to enjoy.

On Sundays I enjoy reading the Bangkok Post's Sunday magazine "Brunch". There are lots of different kinds of stories and I always learn something new. About two weeks ago, there was a story about youtube, one of my favourite website sites.

Did you know that some of the people who post videos on youtube earn money – a lot of money?

How do they earn money? If their videos are very popular, they can attract advertising. And when viewers click on the ads, both youtube and the video maker, earn money.

One person who seems to be earning a great deal of money on youtube is Dane Boedigheimer, the creator of "The Annoying Orange". It is easy to understand why. Altogether his videos have been viewed more 350 million times. Estimated earnings for one year: $288,000 (About 9 million baht)

Below are two of the most popular examples. As you will see, Orange is more than a little annoying. He is very very very annoying.

For the most part, the videos are easy to understand, but I will give you a little help with some of the more difficult words and the sentences that are spoken quickly.

annoying – making you feel slightly angry or impatient น่ารำคาญ
